The Old Globe announces ‘Globe for All’ tour

A flyer for the Globe for All tour with Julius Caesar Image courtesy The Old Globe The Old Globe is bringing the theatrical scene back to communities across San Diego and Tijuana with its annual Globe for All tour This year director Marcela Lorca is leading a talented cast and creative band for the free production of Julius Caesar Starting Oct at Wilson Middle School in San Diego the tour will movement for four weeks before arriving at The Old Globe s House of Charm at Balboa Park for the final show on Nov Our annual Globe for All Tour offers a unique opportunity to enjoy live theatre right in your neighborhood explained the Old Globe s Director of Arts Engagement Adena Varner This year our four-week tour allows us the opportunity to bring one of Shakespeare s preponderance popular titles to our new and existing group partners throughout the region Each show will take place in community-friendly venues and will be free to the community with the exception of the last show which will require tickets at a low cost on sale Oct Reservations are not required to attend but seating is a first come-first served basis The Globe for All tours began in Since then the tour has brought a dramatic entertainment experience to population members in a variety of non-theatrical locations such as gymnasiums cafeterias shelters senior centers refugee public centers military installations and correctional facilities According to The Old Globe the audience can expect an intimate experience that fosters a connection between attendees and performers creating a memorable experience for first time visitors On Sept The Old Globe broadcasted a full cast and creative club traveling for the show The cast includes Mary Chieffo as Julius Caesar Kevin Alicea-Minor as Mark Antony and Erick Lindsey as Brutus among others The creative unit includes scenic and props design by Audrey Casteris costume design by Mayt Mart nez sound design by Matt Lescault-Wood production stage management by Chandra Anthenill and assistant stage management by Evelyn G Myers A full list of the cast and creative association can be discovered on The Old Globe s website
