POINT LOMA Curated with care crafted with style and served with passion That s the motto of All Aboard Charcuterie Provisions which of late set up shop at Shelter Island Drive The space was previously occupied by Paragon Deli Cafe whose owner has since retired All Aboard is run by business partners Sibila Reyes and Shauna Brown Point Loma residents for -plus years According to their website the business originated from a small and unconventional idea after Brown and Reyes had to alter their professional life paths It is a brand new business for both of us stated Reyes noting Brown first started making charcuterie during COVID-associated disruptions She pointed out that All Aboard does business on both land and sea It s so numerous things because you can come in-store and eat a sandwich and have a glass of wine and a small board and a beer reported Reyes We have a big catering population You can order boards or boxes or sandwich platters for boats or a party We also have charcuterie carts with different buckets with charcuterie elements and people prepare their platters with different meats cheeses crackers and olives All Aboard is also available for rent for events like baby showers and dinners Brown talked about how she and Reyes acquired their new space We knew we needed to work together and we knew we demanded to do our own business she commented At first we thought we wished to do catering that deals with the boat charter companies and the yacht clubs and people around here But the business duo initially didn t have access to a kitchen We were looking for a ghost kitchen but all the ghost kitchens were in East County so it didn t make sense Brown explained We do a lot of walking and this space was on our path One day we saw a rent sign on Paragon and we were familiar with it We knew it was a great location and we called The previous owner had retired closed the doors and gone to Europe for a insufficient weeks It was meant to be because it was a great deal for us We re next to all the charter companies and the yacht clubs Now we have a storefront that we didn t count on Then we got creative and now it s all aboard declared Brown noting All Aboard is really unique in what we do as we do charcuterie the sandwiches the wine and the beer But we also do the catering and we do the rental of the venue as well Of their wine selection Reyes noted We are proud because we have taken the time to select wines that are special at different price points We want people to know that if they get a bottle of wine with us it s a good bottle We don t have wines But the ones we have majority of them are organic wines We have wines from Spain and Italy and good quality canned wines for the boats We ll refresh our wines as well as what goes on our charcuterie boards with the season Brown revealed Living here we love the society mentioned Reyes We know the boat people and the house people need certain things and we want to work with the society There is nothing set in stone That s the fun part of this We can work with whatever people need whether it s a big or small board a vegetable board or a cart for desserts We will work with everybody We say yes Brown reported And we love that every day is different and we get to meet more people from this district and everybody has been wonderful Reyes added It s good for us and for them All Aboard Charcuterie Provisions Where Shelter Island Drive Shelter Island Drive Info allaboardsdca com - - Charcuterie is a branch of French cuisine devoted to prepared meat products such as bacon ham sausage terrines galantines ballotines p t s and confit primarily from pork Charcuterie means cooked meat in French It also refers to a shop that sells prepared or cured meats It often describes a platter or board of prepared meats cheeses and other accompaniments
